Description: High Performance Computation Conference: The Role of High Performance Computation in Economic Development Executive Summit Panel Discussion The focus of this conference is to examine current activities in high performance computing (HPC) across New York State. The first two days will be a technical program with technical presentations and discussions focusing on the application and computational methods in areas such as biotechnology & healthcare, energy & environment, and nano-materials & semiconductors. The presentations by representatives from universities, industry, and research laboratories from across New York State will cover issues ranging from the computing and simulation technologies being developed, to a number of the key application areas of HPC, to the role of HPC in the development of new high technology businesses.
